Minoring in Communication
A minor in Communication Studies must be officially declared. Visit the Communication Studies Office in CF 295 to sign a declaration card and ask for advisement as needed. At least two quarters prior to graduation, plan to see the Communication minor advisor for a minor evaluation. When you submit your Degree Application to the Registrar's Office, you will need to turn in your minor evaluation, along with your major evaluation.
- 25 credits minimum for minor (JOUR 190 counts)
- C- or better in all courses on this evaluation
- One course from the following: COMM 101, 224, 225, 230, 235, 240, 260
- COMM 220
- One upper division COMM course (other than 300, 339, 400, 436, 450, 451, 452, 459)
The minor may include no more than 3 credits from the following: 236, 300, 339, 400, 436, 450, 451, 452, 459. These credits do not fulfill the upper division COMM course requirement.
No more than 50% of credits transferred from another institution.
