About

Hillary Edwards joined the Communication and Science Disorders department as a clinical educator in 2019. She is the instructor for CSD 542- Adult and Pediatric Dysphagia. Prior to joining the WWU staff, Hillary worked as a Speech Language Pathologist in the settings of home health, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities. She worked with adults with acquired neurological disorders, including cerebral vascular accident (CVA), and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Clinical interests include: dysphagia, evaluation and treatment of aphasia, and cognitive-communication deficits. She now provides clinical education for students completing adult neuro diagnostics and treatment. She is a certified McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP) provider.
