Dr. Cathy McDonald taught for WWU's English Department from 2003-2022.
Kleinknecht Teaching Excellence Award 2009, College of Humanities and Social Sciences
Dr. Cathy McDonald taught classes in Writing Studies, English Linguistics, Literature, and Literary Representations of Disability. In 2017 she won the Teaching Excellence Award from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Her areas of specialization include rhetorical genre studies, language and discourse, and the representation of disability in literature and film. But pedagogy—the art and science of teaching—is the central and abiding heart of her work in the classroom and the academy.
