Internships and volunteer experience are exceptionally valuable for students at every stage of their education.  They are a proven way for students to gain relevant knowledge, skills and experience while establishing important connections in the field and gauging their own fit in a specific work environment.  WWU’s Internship and Volunteer Fair is a great place for Political Science students to connect with a wide variety of organizations, agencies and community groups.  Over 50 organizations will be seeking students of all majors for professional, meaningful internships in nonprofits, community services, the environment, government, and the arts.  We hope PLSC students will plan on attending!

To make the most of the Internship and Volunteer Fair, students are encouraged to:

  • Research the organizations and internship listings in advance through Viking CareerLink, available on our website: wwu.edu/careers

  • Have their resumes reviewed by attending the Drop-in Resume Clinic October 24 from 3-5pm in HH 233 or calling 650-3240 to make an appointment.
