Funding Opportunities

Scholarships

Scholarships provide meaningful financial support and a vote of confidence in students’ hard work, scholarly interests and service outside of the classroom.  You can choose to support the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Scholarship Fund, a departmental scholarship fund or establish your own named scholarship!

Dean's Fund for Excellence

The Dean’s Fund provides support for a variety of programs that could include funding to assist in: bringing in a featured and well known speaker; aiding a department in hosting a conference; facilitating student participation at a conference; providing funds for equipment; contributing to faculty travel for research or conference participation; sponsoring scholarships; and helping support other departmental and student activities. This fund is critical in meeting the annual needs of the College.

Faculty Support

Your gift to faculty support is an investment in their teaching, research and service.  Gifts in support of Faculty provide important dollars for professional travel, research time and equipment, scholarly materials and curriculum innovation.

Departmental/Programmatic Support

Your gift to any of our academic departments or programs creates opportunities for students that are not funded by state and tuition dollars yet remain crucial as students work to build their resume, curriculum-vitae and network of peers and mentors.  These opportunities include departmental scholarships, travel to conferences, participation on faculty-led research projects, service learning and internships.

International Opportunities

As our community and economy becomes more global, the need for students to have international opportunities becomes increasingly important.  Through study-abroad, international service-learning and internship opportunities, we hope that ALL students, regardless of class, race or gender, will have powerful educational opportunities embedded in international travel and culture.
