2016

Recently Announced!

Western publications did a great job in this year's Society of Professional Journalists awards.
 
The Western Front was named a finalist for best non-daily student newspaper, and The Planet was also a finalist for best student magazine. And Planet radio took first place in the radio show category. Several individual awards also were announced for Western students in Region 10:

Daniella Beccaria has been awarded a $3,500 scholarship from the Western Washington Pro Chapter of Society of Professional Journalists.

2014

The Planet Magazine was the Region 10 Mark of Excellence Award winner of "Best Student Magazine" for "The Human Issue." The same issue was also a finalist among the National 2014 Mark of Excellence Awards for "Best Student Magazine."

Klipsun's "Balance" Edition won the First-Place Award for Single Issue of an Ongoing Print Magazine: Design from the 2014 AEJMC Student Magazine Contest.
