The Western Washington University Department of Journalism extends its warmest congratulations and proudest recognition to our alumni who were part of The Seattle Times 2015 Pulitzer Prize awarded for Breaking News. Our alumni included writers, online producers, photographers and editors on the team coverage of the tragic March 22, 2014 Oso landslide that claimed 43 lives. Western journalism alumni on that team spanned five decades of our graduates. Those alumni included:
