Libations with a Linguist - Winter 2026

Faculty from Western’s Linguistics Department organize these community round-table discussions throughout the year. These talks are free and open to the public of all ages.

Our next "Libations With a Linguist" event is scheduled for February 11, 2026 from 6-8 p.m. at Zeek’s Pizza in Bellingham.

Dr. Virginia Dawson, an Associate Professor in Western’s Linguistics Department, will present "G’day mate! How to sound Strine according to an Aussie linguist."
