About

Sean Dwyer has been teaching Spanish at Western since 2010. He has degrees from Indiana University (MA, ABD) and taught in Indiana, Michigan, and Minnesota prior to landing in the most beautiful part of the country. He has co-led several groups of students to Spain on study-abroad programs.

Sean is a prolific creative writer who has published a memoir, A Quest for Tears: Surviving Traumatic Brain Injury and has numerous short stories in journals and anthologies. He is a 2024 winner of the Village Books Literary Citizenship Award. He hosts the Village Books Open Mic on the final month of each month at 6pm at Village Books.
