Spanish at Western
Students in the Spanish program are encouraged to take advantage of experiential learning opportunities and extracurricular activities to extend their language practice outside the classroom.
- SPAN 425: an opportunity to earn credit by tutoring in Spanish
- La Mesa de Español: WWU's student-led Spanish club
- Study Abroad and our Faculty-Led Global Learning Program: in-country language and culture immersion
- Western Employee Language Program: an opportunity to become a facilitator in student-led conversation and culture courses for WWU faculty and staff
- Sigma Delta Pi: the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society
After Graduation
- North American Language and Culture Assistants Program (NALCAP): an opportunity to work for an academic year in an elementary or secondary school in Spain
- The Spanish program will hold an informational meeting early in Winter quarter.
