About
Jessie Tanksley returned to Western and joined the Political Science Department in September 2022. Before working in the Western Political Science Department, she was the CRM Specialist at Skagit Valley College and the Program Coordinator at the Student Employment Center here at WWU. Jessie earned her Ph.D. in Education in October 2025, specializing in access to higher education. She previously completed her bachelor’s degree in IT – Business Systems Analysis in 2013 and her Master of Science in Higher Education Administration in 2020.
When not at work, Jessie enjoys spending time with her family, camping, reading, and relaxing with her 2 chickens and 6 ducks (pictures are always available upon request!).
