I was granted access to visit and interview the Secret Police Files Authority in Albania. These are the files related to the communist era secret police. Here is a news article mentioning Western and highlighting this visit. It was splashed all over social media by the Authority, since it is unusual to grant international scholars access.
I also gave two talks—one a roundtable with local transitional justice experts and government officials and one a public talk.
