Applying for Graduation / Major and Minor Evaluations

Psychology Major: Applying for Graduation and Major Evaluation

The application process involves meeting with a psychology advisor to conduct a psychology major evaluation and submitting a Degree Application to the Registrar's office. Students should schedule an appointment with their psychology advisor for a major evaluation. Bring the completed Major Evaluation Form and a copy of the student's Total Academic History (available at Web4U) to the advising meeting. Students should schedule this meeting and apply for graduation at least two quarters prior to the quarter they expect to graduate. Students who are not sure which quarter they will graduate should meet with their psychology advisor. The advisor will help determine which psychology courses still need to be completed and what quarter the student will be eligible to graduate. Students should also review the University Academic Policies in the Western Washington University General Catalog to determine if they have satisfied all of the requirements. Students needing to meet with a psychology advisor during the summer should try do so during the six-week summer session, as more psychology advisors are available at that time.

Students should submit the Major Evaluation Form signed by their psychology advisor with their Degree Application Form to the Registrar's Office (Old Main 230).
