Declaring the Major/ Advising

Psychology Department Advisors

The PSY Major Advisors List shows the tenure-track faculty (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) who are available to discuss course selection, plan of study, research opportunities, volunteer opportunities, applying to graduate school, preparing for a career, and related topics.  When you declare Psychology as your major, you will be assigned to a faculty advisor. If you have not yet declared the major, then you may speak with any advisor. Please meet with a Psychology advisor during their office hours or by appointment. Students interested in a Psychology minor may speak with any Psychology advisor about the minor and course selection. Students interested in the Sport Psychology minor should speak with a Sport Psychology advisor.

Transfer Advisors

Students who have completed psychology courses at another institution may speak with a transfer advisor to determine whether they will transfer to Western Washington University. Transfer advisors are indicated on the PSY Major Advisors List.
