Aaron Larson

After graduating, Larson started his career in the translation/localization industry as a project manager which included the coordination of resources and technology to produce translations for clients such as Nike, Intel, Nvidia, and others in the software and (computer) hardware industry near Portland, OR. He did this for about five years and learned that he had a knack for project management in general and transitioned the management of projects involving basic and translational biomedical research.

After receiving a Master of Science in Business degree from Oregon State University, Larson took on a position as Director of Operations at Seattle Children’s Research Institute, where he leads a team of scientists applying state-of-the-art technology to collaborate with faculty to investigate complex pediatric research questions involving developmental biology, oncology/pathology, neuroscience, and infectious diseases.

While he now only speaks, reads, and listens to German in his free time, breadth of coursework taken at Western laid the foundation to pursue his interests and solve complex problems.
