French Opportunities & Activities

Students in the French program are encouraged to take advantage of experiential learning opportunities and extracurricular activities to extend their language practice outside the classroom.

• La Table Française: WWU’s student-led French club
• French 425: departmental tutoring
• Western Employee Language Program: student-led conversation and culture courses for WWU faculty and staff

The Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF): The French Ministry of Education offers paid teaching assistantship positions in French primary and secondary schools to American citizens every year. The Assistantship application for the following school year is posted in the Fall Quarter.
