About

Jeremy Cushman works in rhetorical theory, sound studies, community engagement, and pedagogy. In particular, his research and teaching interests focus on the history and ongoing relationship between rhetoric and Judeo-Christian traditions, on podcasting and the persuasive qualities of sound, on putting student writers ‘to work’ with local non-profits, and on the often emotional work of teaching and learning. He has published and presented on invention and storytelling in technical service workplaces like automotive shops, digital/audio production in the classroom, and religious rhetorics.
