Faculty from Western’s Linguistics Department organize these community round-table discussions once a quarter.  These talks are free and open to the public of all ages.

Our next "Libations With a Linguist" event is scheduled for April 12, 2023 from 6-8 PM at Ponderosa located at 1225 Roeder Ave, Suite 101 in Bellingham.

Dr. Jordan Sandoval, an Assistant Professor in Western’s Linguistics Department, will present “tough, cough, through, bough: What a linguist has to say about why English spelling is so weird."
