CHSS Advancement Council Scholarship

The CHSS Advancement Council scholarship is awarded annually to a student who exemplifies the value of a public liberal arts education and the importance of interdisciplinary education. 

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be a declared in a major within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and have at least three-quarters of coursework remaining before anticipated graduation, as of the beginning of fall quarter in the year of award.

Application Process

  1. Applicants must complete and submit the CHSS Scholarship Application form by the April 26, 2024 deadline. 

  2. Included with the application, is a required essay that addresses the value of a public liberal arts education, the importance of developing multidisciplinary analytical skills, and discusses your commitment to community engagement.

  3. Applicant must arrange for letters of recommendation from two faculty members. Applicants should copy the CHSS Scholarship Recommendation form link and send it to the faculty who will be submitting letters of recommendation.
