Leah Kosk
Leah Kosk is a counselor trainee at Serenity Lane, a treatment center for alcoholism and drug abuse in Oregon. "This internship program is very rigorous. I have to do a lot of different tasks involving the patients. I have to drive them to their AA/NA meetings, lead them through their orientation and group work, and have classroom sessions where we learn different counseling techniques and have a variety of lectures. I'm learning something new everyday either about myself or the drug and alcohol world. At the completion of this program I will have enough hours to become certified and intend to the test to get my CADC I. With that under my belt, I will hopefully be able to get into grad school for social work."
Dylan Koutsky
"I am now teaching high school special education math at a charter school in Northeast Philadelphia through Teach for America, and taking classes at the University of Pennsylvaniafor my M.S.Ed. in Urban Education. It has been a ton of work and the most challenging thing I have ever done, but I've really enjoyed it all so far and am excited to keep on going. If someone wants to know anything about Teach for America, get in touch with me. Dylan Koutsky.
